Monarch Classic Cruises

The business strategy of Monarch Classic Cruises is currently focused on the Eastern Mediterranean and the reintroduction of a quality cruise product in the region using small and mid-size ships of human size which are best suited to this environment plus the highest standards of discreet, personal service from highly trained, multi-lingual officers, staff and crew and attention to the smallest details. Our aim is to make each cruise a unique memory for our passengers.

To enhance each aspect of the cruise experience for our passengers we offer a full entertainment program on board with activities throughout the day and well into the night when the ship is at sea, fine dining experiences with menus guaranteed to delight the most discerning palates, itineraries that take our passengers to the most historically and culturally significant ports of the region and a carefully selected excursion program to better understand and enjoy them.

Monarch Classic Cruises itineraries for the 2008 season are made up of 3 day and 4 day cruises to discover the treasures of the Aegean Sea visiting Mykonos, Kusadasi (Ephesus), Patmos, Rhodes, Heraklion Crete (Knossos) and Santorini. Add to this fascinating program an exciting overnight stay at Istanbul for our 7 day Golden Fleece cruise. We are also introducing this season our innovative 7 day 3 Continents 5 Countries cruise visiting Egypt (Port Said), Israel (Ashdod), Cyprus (Limassol), Turkey (Antalya), and the Greek islands of Santorini and Mykonos. The two 7 day offerings can be combined on the departure date of choice for a truly unique 14 day Voyage into Antiquity.

For the Summer 2008 program, MCC will deploy two ships: • The Ocean Countess capacity 400 cabins and lower berth capacity 800 passengers. 3-day Aegean Discovery and 4-day Aegean Classic itineraries from Monday 21st April 2008 • The Blue Monarch capacity 242 cabins and lower berth capacity 458 passengers 7-day Golden Fleece, 7-day 3 Continents 5 Countries and 14 day Voyage into Antiquity cruises from Friday 25th April 2008

Especially characteristic of the two ships is the understated level of comfort enjoyed by passengers and the high number of outside cabins and their spaciousness which makes them unique among ships with regular itineraries in the Eastern Mediterranean.
