ELEGANT CRUISES AND TOURS, Inc. JOINS NICHE CRUISE MARKETING ALLIANCE For further information, please contact: Steve Kravitz, 305.932.4785, or stevekravitz@gmail.com SEATTLE, WA., January 3, 2008 – Elegant Cruises and Tours, Inc., a cruise line known for offering diverse, culturally-focused itineraries, has become the 16th member line of the Niche Cruise Marketing Alliance (NCMA). The 16 NCMA member lines have banded together to educate travel agents on the value of concentrating on the sale of specialty cruise products. The alliance provides educational programs, seminar content and trade show exposure for its members and this industry segment. In addition, its award winning web site, www.nichecruise.com, continues to be a resource for travel agents seeking information on these unique cruise products. Elegant Cruises and Tours specializes in deluxe small ship expeditions of Europe, including Croatia and the Adriatic; the Azores and Atlantic Islands; the British Isles; the Baltic Sea , the Mediterranean Sea, and new for 2008, voyages to the Gulf of Bothnia. The family-owned and operated company is now celebrating its 20th year of operation. The company owns two vessels. The 62-passenger yacht-like M.S. Monet is 223 feet long and features all outside cabins. The 105-passenger M.S. Andrea, an expedition ship, is 286 feet long. Both ships are able to visit smaller ports and snug harbors that would be impossible for larger ships. All of the line’s European cruise tours on the Monet and the Andrea include roundtrip air from select U.S. gateways. Tour lengths range from nine to 20 days. In addition, the line offers 22-day transatlantic repositioning voyages from Montevideo, Uruguay to Las Palmas, Grand Canary Islands and Cadiz, Spain to Buenos Aires, Argentina, with roundtrip air from the United States included as well. The Andrea also offers cruises to Antarctica, the Georgian Peninsula and the Falkland Islands as well as South American cruises. Further information on Elegant Cruises and Tours is available on their web site, www.elegantcruises.com, or on NCMA’s web site at www.nichecruise.com. According to Tatjana Stanovic, executive vice-president and co-owner, Elegant Cruises & Tours, “NCMA performs an important service, linking us to the travel professionals we most want to reach and educating them on our vessels and unique cruise programs. We are delighted to be part of this organization.” “Elegant Cruises and Tours offers an added dimension to the travel opportunities offered by NCMA,” executive director Lawrence Dessler said. “With the increasing weakness of the dollar in Europe, the availability of inclusive luxury cruise and tour packages are particularly attractive. In addition, their small and well-appointed vessels take travelers to other destinations including Antarctica and South America.” Other NCMA members include: American Canadian Caribbean Line, American Cruise Lines, Fred. Olsen Cruises, Galapagos Explorer II (Canodros), Hurtigruten, Imperial River Cruises, Louis Cruise Lines, Majestic America Line, Orion Expedition Cruises, Pandaw Cruises, Peter Deilmann Cruises, RiverBarge Excursion Lines, Star Clippers, Variety Cruises and Voyages of Discovery.
